This one of a kind hand built RD400 street bike into ATC (All Terrain Cycle) or 3 Wheeler is just that … The only one like it!  Custom from the ground up but many “Vintage” and “Stock” pieces left also!  Here is the run down … started out as a 1977 Yamaha RD400 street bike, custom triple tree, front axle assembly, front rim, motocross style handlebars, the original Tachometer was mounted in a custom mount bracket easily visable to the rider finish up the Custom front end!  For the rear an ATC90 fiberglass seat and fenders were added and the stock RD400 rear tail light was kept and mounted to the frame below the seat, custom swing arm with ATC90 axle was used as it is a solid axle! The rear is stopped by using the stock RD400 brake caliper!

This bike having utilized the stock RD400 frame and gas tank is very rigid and can run all day long with the larger tank which I think is at 4 gallons vs. the 2.5 gallon tanks most quads have today. Because it is also still on the original frame it could be the perfect restoration back to an RD400 street bike!  The engine is all stock minus the exterior being most polished and some chrome accents.  It does have special “Enduro” style pipes that are chrome!  It has the original custom paint that was sprayed when it was converted to a 3 wheeler trike!  What I have been told is the company that made these was in Southern California and called the RD Boyz if I remember correctly.  The person I bought this bike from told me that the owner of that shop built this bike for his wife as a cruiser, hence the custom paint and detail on this bike!
